AI Engineering • Generative AI • AI Security
I’m Mohamed Zahir, a Master’s student in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies with a software engineering background and hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
My current focus is AI Engineering, particularly Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and the development of practical AI applications.
I’m also interested in AI Security, where I combine my AI studies with my cybersecurity background to explore the security of LLM-based and AI-powered applications.
I learn primarily by building, experimenting, and documenting what I discover.
What I do
🤖 AI Engineering
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Generative AI, LLM applications, and practical AI systems.
🔐 AI Security
LLM security, prompt injection, RAG security, agent security, and secure AI applications.
🛡️ Cybersecurity Background
Web/API security, penetration testing, vulnerability research, CTFs, and security automation.
My approach
I like learning by building and testing things. When I encounter a technology or technical concept, I prefer to understand it through practical experimentation, labs, projects, and real-world applications.
This blog is part of that process. It is not intended to be a collection of polished tutorials only. It is also a record of experiments, discoveries, mistakes, and lessons learned.

Education
Master's — Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies (MIATE)
Currently pursuing a Master's focused on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with practical work in machine learning, computer vision, and AI engineering.
Licence Sciences et Techniques — Génie logiciel
Software engineering foundation — programming, databases, web development, and software architecture.
Journey
My interest in cybersecurity started before university, and it has remained one of the main areas I’ve continued to explore and develop over the years.
Before and during my university studies, I spent time learning about security through practical experimentation, web application testing, CTFs, vulnerability research, and bug bounty hunting. Over time, this developed into a stronger focus on offensive security and understanding how real-world applications and systems can be attacked.
My academic path in software engineering gave me a broader technical foundation in programming, databases, web technologies, and software development. Rather than being the beginning of my interest in security, it gave me additional technical knowledge that I could apply to the security work I was already interested in.
As I continued developing my skills, I expanded beyond web security and started exploring areas such as Active Directory and Android security, while continuing to focus primarily on web application security and vulnerability research.
I later chose to pursue a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies (MIATE), adding machine learning, computer vision, Big Data, cloud computing, and AI engineering to my technical background.
Today, my primary direction is AI Engineering and Generative AI, while my cybersecurity background continues to shape my interest in AI Security and secure AI systems.
